Do I need to buy a special uniform for training in the Dojo?
Yes, for our adults:
after passing your firstexam (white belt)in our Dojo you will be expected to wear an Eagle Spirit Budojutsu training uniform. The payment will be included in your first exam fee.
Yes, for juniors:
After training for 2 months in our Eagle Spirit Budojutsu Dojo our junior students need to wear our Junior students uniform. This not only contributes to the training, but also to the group feeling of our training. Since we start using grappling techniques with our junior students in a much earlier state then with adult training….there is a difference in the moment of needing to purchase a uniform.
If you are training several days a week and want to do less laundry, you may wish to purchase an additional uniform. At this time, additional adult uniforms cost € 75, Junior uniforms cost € 55 and can be purchased at the Sensei. Tops and bottoms cannot be purchased separately.
Students can wear any clean t-shirt under their gi (uniform)top. Students who wish to train without their gi top need to wear an Eagle Spirit Budojutsu Dojo t-shirt (tucked in). T-shirts are available at the Sensei for € 15.
Students may wear clean socks, or wear special training shoes called mat socks, which are € 25. If you would like to order mat socks, please ask the Sensei.
For information on specialty uniforms, traditional ninja uniforms, or at-home training equipment etc. please ask the Sensei for pricing. These items are not required for training, but we’re happy to help you find a birthday present for yourself or another special ninja in your life.
